Commerce for creators
The Google ecosystem — YouTube in particular — serves individual content creators of all kinds with a wide range of publishing tools. But a focus on advertising-based monetization makes Google vulnerable to a new breed of content commerce platform (think Patreon or Substack), especially among creators with more modest reach.
Love & War was hired by a team within Google Labs that created Qaya, a digital storefront that enabled creators of any size to easily publish and sell content directly to their fan base. We were asked to help Qaya develop a roadmap for their brand and product development that integrated web3 models into their existing offering.
To help bring their vision to life and raise their profile within Google, we created an illustrated narrative that helped them convey the possibilities of the creator economy — and the opportunity for Qaya to fill an important gap in the Google ecosystem.
